I have to laugh every time I'm a victim of marketing. I consider myself fairly savvy, but after years of not touching donuts (not for any particular reason, probably because they're less healthy than beer), I'm grabbing a 7-11 Simpson's promotion Sprinkliscious Dounut about once a week.
This donut was released as part of the cross promotion 7-11 did with Fox for the Simpsons Movie.
I thought this promotion was excellent, but was saddened later when I heard there was a chance the idea was stolen from a pitch Leo Burnett did. If never heard this, check out the interview one of their execs did on NPR.
